Southeast Community Facility Commission’s Family Health Fair

Promoting Healthy Bodies & Minds

Learn about, Obesity, Diabetes, Asthma, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitus B, Cancer, and putting family first

Obesity, diabetes and asthma are serious issues, but learning how to deal with them is empowering.  It will be fun, too, on Saturday October 13th from 10am to 2pm when the Southeast Community Facility serves up healthy food, health care advice, children’s gardening activities, entertainment and more at its 5th Annual Family Health Fair.

The Family Health Fair is a family-oriented event organized by the Southeast Community Facility Commission in partnership with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, San Francisco Unified School District, and many businesses, community-based organizations, and concerned citizens from Bayview Hunters Point.

“Obesity, diabetes and asthma can be stopped if our families and community stand together,” stated Commissioner Louise C. Jones, organizing committee chair.

The Southeast Community Facility is located at 1800 Oakdale Ave.  For more information, contact Francis Starr or Lalonnie Palega at 415.821.1534.
