Kaiser Permanente San Francisco has awarded the Asthma Resource Center of San Francisco, Inc. and the Asthma Task Force a $15,000 one-year grant for its “Controlling Asthma Risks to Promote Reduced Teen Obesity” project , extending our current quality improvement work with safety net clinics, with an emphasis on improving patient-provider communication for asthma control. This is Kaiser Permanente's fifth Community Benefits award to the Task Force.

A private donor gave a $10,000 grant for the Asthma Task Force project to promote bleach-free disinfecting and sanitizing in child care settings. New funding is needed to maintain project staffing and activities benefitting local child care providers; see
