- Members have been working to increase reimbursement for school and summer lunch at the federal level.
- Members have advised local leaders on the 2007 Farm Bill.
- Members are working on the Better Streets planning initiative, ensuring that public health concepts are fully integrated in the planning process.
- Shape Up SF worked with Mayor's office and Supervisor Elsbernd to prevent catering trucks from selling unhealthy food to public school students.
- Municipal Transit Agency, in partnership with Shape Up, organized a successful Walk to School Day with over 20 schools in October 2006.
- Shape Up Walking Challenge involved over 100 teams and 3000 people who walked the coastline of California in October- December 2006.
- Recreation and Park Department hosted three tournaments in 2006 for youth not participating in organized sports, and will continue monthly tournaments throughout 2007.
- Office of Community Development hosted a very successful Stadium to Stadium Run in August 2006 and will do so again in September 2007.
- Shape Up is partnering with the San Francisco Marathon and Escape from Alcatraz Triathalon organizers to involve residents and City Employees in 2007.
