Goal: To create workplaces in San Francisco that support healthy eating and physical activity through the development and implementation of policy and programs. San Francisco employees will work in environments that promote healthy eating and active living through policies and programs.
Objectives:
- Build commitment to worksite wellness within the City and County of San Francisco and San Francisco business community.
- San Francisco businesses will implement and San Francisco employees will have access to worksite wellness programs.
- Complete web-based, user friendly tool kit (Shape Up @ Work How -to-Guide) to support implementation of worksite wellness programs in San Francisco.
- Encourage City and County San Francisco employees to participate in fitness activities such as the San Francisco Marathon, Walking Challenge, and Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.
