What is the America’s Cup?
The America’s Cup, the oldest trophy is international sport, is a thrilling spectacle featuring the best sailors on the world’s fastest boats. The 34th America’s Cup will be held in San Francisco in 2012 and 2013.
Where can I go to watch the races?
The races in August and October 2012 will be easily seen from San Francisco’s northern waterfront between Marina Green and Fisherman’s Wharf. The races in 2013 may be watched along the waterfront from Marina Green to Piers 27-29.
Do I have to go out on a boat to see the races?
No for the first time in its 160-year history, the America’s Cup races are designed to be watched from land.
Do I need a ticket?
No the races are free to watch.
Can I drive to the races?
The City is advising that people do not try to drive to the northern waterfront area during the races. Many options, including transit and bicycles, will be available to get to/from the northern waterfront.
How can I get a job with the America’s Cup?
