Flavio Aggio is the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the Department of Technology
Flavio has more than 25 years of extensive experience in IT and successful track record in Architecture and Infrastructure management. Aggio worked 21 years for Rohm and Haas/Dow Chemical where he held positions of increasing responsibilities including South American IT Manager leading to his transfer to Philadelphia in 1996 as Telecommunications Manager. From 2000 to 2010, Aggio was responsible for IT architecture and Business Continuity solutions at Rohm and Haas/Dow Chemical. He designed and implemented several Data Centers, led Enterprise Business Continuity Plan. Aggio relocated from the US to the Netherlands to serve as Director of Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture of ASML where he rationalized IT policies and standards, implemented and modernized infrastructure technology. In 2012, Aggio implemented cloud video conferencing technology and modernized infrastructure technology globally at D&M. Aggio holds an Executive MBA degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Bachelor in Physics degree from the University of São Paulo, Brazil and attended negotiation courses at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
